Technologies that we introduce to the world of automobiles get upgraded every time. The achievement bar is kept setting higher with every new idea that is hosted. Automobiles were first presented with carburetors which were further advanced with fuel injection. For safety and privacy purposes, we installed GPS system which was then followed by automatic transmissions for easy driving. However, have these advancements supported the old approach of driving or has it failed to maintain the safety and cause more trouble? To look at it from a straight perspective, are the gizmos of technology and the increased in cost worth it?
For example, you would go to Burke VA locksmith and get your car key replaced or copied if you lose your car keys. The cars, at that time, were not electronically fortified. Hence, it was easier to make spare copies of the car keys. However, in today’s time, you need to visit the dealer or a licensed blacksmith and get yourself the replacement set of keys if you lose the original ones. The traditional locks had a tumbler within their locks that gets clicked when you turn it. Nevertheless, the newly invented locks are code based. A secret signal is passed through the engine that ignites when you insert the key into the power button. As stated by the American Automobile Association, there has been an increase in the number of complex issues of lock outs due to misplacement of keys as only licensed dealers are authorized to trace the digital code set on your key and make a new key that can provide you access to your car. Another important factor that hinders the process while driving is the glitches that are produced because of excessive use of electronic gizmos. For instance, can you think of the problems that your computer on which you are reading this article has occurred? You may have taken your electronic gadget not once but multiple times to the engineer for rectification. Similarly, you have, many a times, seen the notification ‘service engine soon’ glowing on the screen on your car. How many times you have taken your car to the service engineer and found out that the notification glowed for no reason? And how much did the dealer charged you to supervise your car and tell you that you have nothing to worry? Wouldn’t it be easy and stress-free to simply connect your car to the computer and your computer shows you every wrong thing that is on with the car? But that is not yet invented and we are thus, unable to do that. Moreover, the additional cost that we pay to rectify these electronic instruments that we have installed in our car does not work properly and make the car not worth it. All we have to ask ourselves while taking such steps of advancing our car with electronic gadgets is, do we really need to install junk in our car and complex our lives?
